Hello. I'm looking for a video card that will work with my default Dell XPS 8300 setup.
It has Intel i7 2600 and 6GB RAM.

My budget is under $300 and I need a power supply for the card as well. I'm not looking to overclock anything or upgrade any parts later so please DON'T recommend a PSU with extra wattage.

Also, could someone tell me how the card will run battlefield 3?

Assuming the Dell fits standard ATX PSU's

$60 after MIR XFX Core Edition PRO650W (9.5 jonnyguru performance rating)

$230 after MIR Asus 560 Ti Cu II TOP (900Mhz)

Are ya sure that's 6GB ? .... I'd expect 4,8 or 16GB w/ 2500k

The other choice would be the 6950 twin Frozr

$280 MSI Twin Frozr (comes w/ Free Game - Dirt2)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

In Guru3D's game test suite the two cards shake out perty close....495 fps for the Asus 560 Ti Cu TOP and 484 for the 6950 twin Frozr

This will give ya a start .... the above cards is factory OC'd so figure about 60 fps for the Asus 560 and 64 for the MSI Frozr at 1920 x 1200 and High Quality Settings.

Your power supply is 460w? I f your budget is under $300 then the card that you can get for that price will probably be using a 450w psu.

Now what I really will recomend for you is this combination of video card and psu , I know it is over your budget but I wanted to list it for the reason that you are not into overclocking and without listing a 570 or 580 this is as close as you can come to a really good card that will give you good performance in BF3. The video card is newly released with an addtional 64 processor cores over the regular 560Ti. If you don't choose to go with this then here is a card and psu that is in your budget.
