If you mean uses less power as in, "any card that has gddr3 is a weak old card that won't use much power" you are correct. If you mean is cheaper as in " any card that uses gddr3 is a few years old and will be dirt cheap" you are correct. If you mean gddr3 is better as in... well no, that's just wrong.

More like a moron, giving bad information on purpose.

And really, this is a legit tech support forum not a chan where trololollol is appropriate. At least try and keep it quasi professional.

Mods need to clean up this thread.
 
a gpu armed with 1gb gddr5 vram would perform better than the same gpu armed with 1 gb gddr3 vram.
for low end, basic use, htpc cards like 5450, 5570, gt 430 - gddr3 might suffice for some users.
for better performance, gaming - gddr5 is the way to go.
