So I am about to purchase components to update my computer that I had built a few years back. That computer now no longer works. So when choosing the components, my goal was to have a fast reliable computer under $700. I plan to reuse my case, fans, power supply and graphics card.

CPU: Intel 2500k
MOBO: Asus P8Z68-V LX LGA 1155 w/ $10 rebate on Newegg
RAM: Corair X MS3 8GB (2x4GB) w/ $20 rebate on Newegg
HDD: Seagate ST500DM002 500GB 7200RPM
SSD: Samsung 830 64GB
OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

Totals with rebates at just under $700

Tell me what you think!

Only things I would change would be to swap your motherboard with this - the Asus LX boards lack a lot of features for the price. Get this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271

And then instead of the XMS RAM get this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148544

And add an aftermarket cooler if you're getting the 2500K for OC'ing purposes. You can get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for $35: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

I also didn't see an optical drive, you'll need something like this for OS install:

Other than that everything else looks good. Definitely reuse as many parts as you can.
