Need question answered!

Hey,

I want to get this card but I have a question about the power reqs.

It says it wants a minimum of 12 volts at a current rating of 30 amps.
My power supply can deliver the 12 volts but can only do 22 amps.

Can I still run the card without upgrading my psu?

What power supply do you have?

If you only have a single 12 V rail that has 22 A on it, and you have a strong CPU in that system then its not a good idea to run that card on that PSU as you only have 264 W available from your 12 V rail and the card needs 170 W at peak, that only leaves about 90 W for your CPU and other components which likely won't be enough.

CPU- AMD ATHLON II at 3.0 GHZ.
6 GB of ram
1 tb drive.

I have 4 four pin to plug into the adapters that come with the card.
