My friend has a Thermaltake TR2 Series TR-450P 450W

He lost the PCI-E cable to it so we ordered another one from a DIY site. I went looking through some of my stuff and found the box to my Mushkin Enhanced 550W PSU and I still had the PCI-E cable for it.

It's like 5 years old and under the details tab it says the parts have a 3 year warranty on them but they haven't ever been used.

we want to power a gtx 550ti fermi

will we be ok?

Solution
The safest bet would be to get another that is exactly like the one lost.

However, if the Mushkin cable fits in the Thermaltake PSU it will probably work just fine. Most of the time cables are pretty simple things and mostly interchangeable.

The TR-450P isn't a modular psu, couldn't have lost 1 of the 2 pcie cables that are permanently attached, don't see a problem using a GTX550 with it
