Hi,

My name is Pete and I have a memory problem. For the past couple of years I've been addicted to memory, and although I have tried, I just cannot 'get' off it. Thanks for listening.

My problem is that I really like ASUS boards (shoot me now if you like - I think they're pretty solid.)

The A7M266 only supports 2 DDR slots. This is a bit light, and I noticed that many other boards have too.

So, my question is this, for those of us for whom 512MB is not enough, when is a 512MB DDR (PC2100 of course) stick coming out????

Pete.

Get ready to shell out some serious $$$$$ when they do.
I suspect they will show up when the DDR platform becomes more prevelant, and the industry moves from 256MB as a standard to 512MB (it's still in the 128MB -> 256MB state)

--------
I have not yet begun to procrastinate.

Check out MSI's K7T 266 Pro (MS 6380). It offers 3 DDR memory banks. I just ordered one last week. I also ordered and received 3 of Crucial's 256MB PC2100 sticks. Both the board and the memory are priced reasonably.

I got my 2 Sticks in 2 days also. hehe I love Crucial. I have it on my MSI K7T266 Pro, still 1 bank open, but I use WIN98SE and herd it has a problem with more than 512.
