Verify if these components are compatible and will suit each other.

Hey, I'm building a rig for my friend and I'm wondering if the following components will work with each other and will run nicely.

Here they are:

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s

EVGA 01G-P3-1561-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

It is hard to tell, but you put yourself at a lot of risk that it won't work.

The FX processors don't always work with FX boards unless the boards have a BIOS update which you can't do if you only have the FX processor. You would have to have a second suckier AMD processor to update the BIOS with, which would be a drag.

Also, the FX 81xx processors are just plain worse almost all the time than a 2500k is.

    I would suggest instead
    2500k processor
    $125 Gigabyte Z68 motherboard
    XFX 650w PSU
    HD 6950 video card
    HAF 912 case
    Asus 24x DVD

the other stuff you can keep.
