I'm buying a SONY DCR-PC110 mini-DV camera, which firewire capture card should I go for? Let's say for a modest budget of around 300 USD (the camera purchase is already making me live on water&bread ;~)
I mean - there's so many on the market (different models/brands)!
I was refered these sites by some other helpful soul on this forum, so I'll pass it on.

They're selling here: http://www.videoguys.com, but they have some decent info. as well.
From what I can tell, the video editing software you choose, and codecs supported, etc. may be more important than the firewire card itself.
I'm starting small having just bought "Video Factory Deluxe" at Best Buy for $50 w/ rebate which includes a PYRO firewire card. I'm hoping the editing software will work with my analog captures from my ATI All-in-One Radeon, while I save up for my DV camcorder.
hope this helps,
BW
