Need input on new monitor .

I tried to pu this in the gaphic&dispays section but there was no monitors .
I'm in the process of replacing my 2007 22" Dell ultra sharp monitor with a 27" monitor . So I would really like to know what I should be looking for in a monitor . I see stuff like 1080p resolution, Contrast Ratio, Response Time, and such .

I was looking at this one .

You'd want at least:
1920x1080 Resolution
~5000:1 contrast ratio (I really wouldn't pay too much attention to CR.)

Also,
LED backlit
Under 10ms response time preferrable
IPS monitors have a lot better color trueness and viewing angle

Thanks for the help . On the ~5000:1 contrast ratio do I want that spacific number or higher/lower .

That's the minimum of what you want. Honestly I hardly even pay attention to that spec.
