Hello all,

I recently came to a realization that I had enough old spare parts to potentially build a full computer out of it. Do you guys have any suggestions as to which pieces I should use? Do any parts still have some potential? If the benefits are great, I wouldn't mind purchasing some new parts, but I really would like to keep this as close to 0$ as possible.

Thanks,

First look, seems like I can use

CPU:
Intel Pentium 4 Socket 775 LGA Prescott @ 3.2Ghz w/ HT

RAM: (1.25 GB)
512MB - DDR PC-3200 @ 400Mhz
512MB - DDR PC-2100 @ 266Mhz
256MB - DDR PC-2100 @ 266Mhz

HDD:
Western Digital 80GB HDD (IDE)
Seagate Barracuda 40GB HDD (IDE)
Maxtor 40GB HDD (IDE)
Quantum Fireball 6GB HDD (IDE)

MOBO:
Asus Socket 775 LGA P5P800-VM supports DDR RAM + AGP GPU

GPU:
NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX/MX400 AGP (64MB)

Chassis/PSU
APEVIA X-Trooper Jr Case w/ Side Window + 450W PSU

But, Will this even run anything smoothly?

So I was thinking, I've left out probably the fastest components that I have (512MB DDR2 RAM, 9600GSO GPU)

Is there a good/cheap motherboard that supports socket 775 LGA, DDR2 RAM, IDE, and has a PCI-E x16 slot?

I searched a few on newegg and found this one:
MSI G31TM-P21 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130234
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G31TM-P21.html#/?div=Basic

I'm a little worried though,
1. Even though it's a socket 775 motherboard, it says it's for "Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Duo / Pentium Dual-Core / Celeron Dual-Core" CPUs. Does this mean that a Pentium 4 will not be compatible?

2. It says it supports DDR2 667/800 RAM, but mine is clocked @ 533Mhz... will this be an issue?

3. I know this board has mostly SATA ports, with one IDE port, will I be able to run my HDDs with it? At least one?

Thanks
