Help installing first card

Okay, I own an HP a6203w Desktop PC, with PCIe x16 for the GPU. For christmas I received a Thermaltake TR2 430Watt PSU and an ATI Radeon 5450 1 Gig video card. I am wise and knowledgable in the general construction of computers and know my way around them, but I've never done an install. Can anyone walk me through this or even offer me links to videos or guides, how tos, dos and do nots?
