Hi,
Can you recommend a mod-chip that will allow me to do the following:
- run Xbox Media center
- surf the web (using an Linux system like dyne:bolic)
- allow me to play X-Box Live without getting me booted off for using a
mod-chip (I assume I need one that can be switched off)

Also what's the best place in UK for getting one.

Thanks,

Seemd

I haven't modded my XBox since shortly after the Halo/Amped pack was
first released. But I believe that any modchip which you can disable will meet
that requirement, if you always keep the modchip disabled when going online and
don't change the hard drive.

I think that you can add a second HDD to your XBox if you follow a
certain mod from www.xbox-scene.com, which allows you to have the original hard
drive connected (for signing on to Live), and a second and larger hard drive for
the benefits which come from modding. You'd have to modify the XBox chassis to
make everything fit though, and install a physical switch so that the drives
aren't shared.
