I just built this a few weeks ago as a new gaming pc.
I realize it is very unbalanced at this point, but that was due to some hard finance limitations at the time.
But I knew I could upgrade relatively soon.

What should I upgrade first to get the most performance out of what I have?

i5-2500k
Asus P8Z68-V/Gen 3 LGA 1155
MSI R5670-MD1GD3 1GB 128-bit
OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Modular Power Supply
8GB Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) DDR3 1600
500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Seagate Barracuda 3.5" Internal HD
Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Case
Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU Cooler
Windows 7 Home Premium

This is the official list if you need more specs on any of the parts.

Thanks!

Video card should be first, followed by a better PSU (the OCZ Z* series are good, the fatality ones are shoddy). Are you going to X-Fire, or SLi?

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
$110 OCZ ZT Series 750W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Bronze (much better buy than that fatality)

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
$80 SILVERSTONE Strider Plus ST50F-P 500W (if not going X-Fire/SLi)

GFX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
$170 XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 (huge upgrade to that 5xxx you have, if you want ATI)

GFX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
$210 Gigabyte 560Ti

I plan on going crossfire. People definitely seemed hit or miss with that psu, and I took a chance. I didn't have any issues installing like other people did, so I'm thankful so far.

I found a more technical review of the PSU.

I wonder if people have trouble because of the way the rails are set up. They are overloading one rail without knowing it? Because there otherwise shouldn't be too many issues with it.

Graphics card, and then maybe better motherboard so you can overclock that i5-2500K, as long as you have a good aftermarket cooler. Hyper 212 Evo is recommended at it's price range.

What's wrong with overclocking with this motherboard? I have it to 4.4 right now.
