Hello,
I'm tyring to update my son's cpu and i've found two that appear to be supported by the motherboard (ESC P4M800 Pro-M2.0) but I don't know which is better...can anyone help me? The two cpu's are: 1) Intel core 2 Duo E6400 2.13 GHz with 1066 BusSpeed or 2) Intel Pentium D 950 Dual-Core CPu 3.4 GHz with 800 MHz BusSpeed. These are refurbished cpu's, but they appear to be the best available for the motherboard. Thanks for your help!

It's not even close. The Core2Duo is by far the better chip. The Pentium D is just 2 Pentium 4 chips on the same die. A 3Ghz Pentium D is roughly the same as a 1.6Ghz Core2Duo.
