wait for them to hit the market to make your decision, im sure toms will compare and rank them against SLI/CF combos when it is released.

anandtech's review is most likely based on a preview engineering sample with half finished drivers. you'll probably need pcie 3 capable cpu and motherboard to run the 7970.
wait for the real release in january and reviews. dual 560ti is a pretty powerful combo imo.
also, amd almost always screws up drivers at any launch.

Not worth it IMO.
2 560's perform better than 1 GTX 580 which will give you roughly the same performance as a 7970,so it's not worth the upgrade

The 7970 outperforms both a 580 and 560sli, has higher memory bit rate, 3 gigs of ram.

The only way its good is if you are going to spend another $400 in 2012 or 2013 to add another 7970 then its worth selling the 560tis...otherwise they will be identical performance wise. You won't be able to get anything from adding a 3rd 560ti in the future. Also you do get 1gb more ram from 7970. So it all depends on what you can sell it for. You might even sell the 560tis and get a slighlt lower 7000 series card...i'm sure it will be better than 560ti for the same price...all in all the moment 7000 series hits...all existing cards will diminsh in value so make you decision asap before the 9th of Jan.

Another thing to consider is that a single 7970 won't give you microstuttering like SLI and crossfire . Thats a matter of personal choice though.

Two GTX 560 Ti's are very nice. I see no reason to "upgrade" to a single HD 7970 when it's released unless you are not satisfied with your current set-up.

Not necessarily in all games and when it outperforms them, the difference isn't much and not worth the upgrade..

just go back and check previous generations at which point did a new high end card outperformed 2 high end cards of the previous generation????

edit: thought you said 2 580, two 560 wont be far behind a 7970 I think.

selling 2 560s and adding some money to it to get a 7970 doesn't worth it IMO.

I think I will do the same thing as I have done before, wait 2-3 years before upgrading ;)
