1gb 6950 HD Radeon

I recently installed a XFX Radeon HD 6950 1GB on my computer. I ran some scans and it's only showing 748 MB instead of 1 GB. Do I need to do something?

if its the dxdiag that you checked ignore it. it doesnt work right after windows xp.
