I was trying to setup my friend's computer with a hewlett packard 9500 cdrw, however, i got a can not read sub channel error when i tried to make an image with CloneCD. After some investigation, i learned that HP sometimes purchases drives from sony but sells them with the HP label. Clonecd reports that the drive is a HP 9500b and not a 9500i. What i need to know is whether or not i can get this hp 9500b drive to read and write sub channel information. Does anyone know if it has this capability and the drive simply isn't yet supported by Clonecd but would probably be in the future, or has my buddie just been taken by hewlett packard and their shady marketing practices? Also, as i use a yamaha drive, i'm not familar with hp drives. Does the hp 9500i have any problems with CloneCd? It's listed in the supported list.

Not specific to the 9500i, but my 9110i that I used to have worked fine with CloneCD.
