I do plan on overclocking my cpu so would i need a aftermarket fan, or is the stock ok?

Stock is ok up to a point, which is Turbo (3.7 GHz). After that though, the Hyper 212 EVO, an aftermarket cooler, is more stable. Ivy Bridge is available to your MOBO through a BIOS update. Great build!

That a great Mobo, you hit the sweet-spot for price vs. performance. Some may recommend a cheaper board, but that is a REALLY nice board for the price.

The 6950 will destroy BF3. nuff sed.

How about this fully-modular PSU OCZ ZT Series 750W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Bronze High Performance Power Supply That's right, tell those pesky cables where to shove it.

Your Mobo supports 1600 RAM and you choose 1333. It won't really make a difference besides in benchmarks. Nevertheless, it will make the tiniest improvement. Here is some high quality (yet dirt cheap) G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM. It's also low-profile, and plays nice with the cooler I recommended.

Now for the case, that's a nice case and all, but how about something with a bit better airflow, and CHEAPER. The HAF 922. There are two versions. One has a single red LED on the front fan. HAF 922 (Red LED) The other version has a blue LED at all fan mounting points, and a clear side window so you can admire your sexy components. HAF 922 (Blue LEDs) The LEDs can be turned off in both versions if that's not your thing.

Believe me when a say that a smaller HD will fill up faster than you can imagine. 1TB is the way to go. That drive is a SATA 2 drive, but there is literally no practical difference between the SATA 3 version. Mainly based on the fact that a physical HD (as in not an SSD) can't read/write at speeds fast enough to reach SATA 3 speeds. SATA is backward compatible. I use that very drive if if makes you feel better.

The stock cooler is not sufficient for OCing, and in some cases, heaving gaming at base speeds. The Hyper 212 Evo is a good choice.

All the parts I recommended are well know for their quality and customer support. Feel free to ask questions, we are all here to help. :D

Im a corsair case fanboy, i really love their cases. My freind told me the 600t was a great one, just a bit pricey which i dont mind. Thats also why i asked about maybe the 500r a bit cheaper.
