More about : gaming build good

Good build, If it were me i'd personally pay up the extra bucks for the 2600k, but hey, gaming doesn't focus on that hardly at all. That graphics card should cut through skyrim, cod4, and gta 4 like butter.

2600K isn't needed for a gaming system. If you're running CS5 or 3-D rendering programs then it is.

That's an excellent build - I would have probably suggested the exact same system.

The other thing I'd suggest is to drop the extra case fans - I have the HAF 912 and it's an extremely well ventilated case for the price (which is why I will recommend it on every sub-$1K build). I try not to include accessories or expensive peripherals in my builds - I like to get a balanced system across everything and if you include things that can throw off your budget like that, it makes what you're able to buy way different.
