New Pc

I'm wanting a new pc, my laptop just blew up and I need a new one, this time I'm going desktop and need help.


Approximate Purchase Date: Whenever I get my taxes back.

Budget Range: 1000-1500$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, internet surfing.

Parts Not Required: I need everything

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com

Country: United States

Parts Preferences: Intel cpu, and mid tower case

Overclocking: no

SLI or Crossfire: maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1440x900

Additional Comments I would like to thank all who help me, I appreciate it, this will be my first computer that I build myself.

Do you need monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS?

That'll add on the extra $200+. Make sure to get a 64 bit OS.

can't even tell you how many things are wrong with that build

i5 2500 Wrong
go for an i5 2500k (unlocked allows overclock even if you don't want it now youll want it in the future)- also its good for gaming http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

mobo- THats an old north bridge- this is a much better board that will allow for ivy bridge in the future http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

graphics- thats so much less than he can aford

ram- ok but thats a tier two brand something like gskill is better

case- low tier case haf 912 would be better

hard drive- first good thing i have seen

psu- u sure u know what your doing? NEVER CRAP OUT ON A Psu,. Dont buy rosewill- instead get get antec, corsair, seasonic, pc power and cooling. soemthing like that

dvd burner fine

monitor get 1080p maybe a 22 inch? i would suggest the hanspree
