What do you think of my Soon-To-Be-Build ?

So here are all the Components that will be in my build! Be honest tell me what you think, and tell me what you think I should add! Keep in mind, I will be using this build for gaming, but not extremely hardcore gaming, things like DoD:S, CS:S, CoD4, and things like that.

More about what soon build
  1. your cpu is a gpu on your link.

Your mobo is a 1156, dated tech.

If you got an i3 2100 you will need a 1155 board.

recommend the hd 6770 for your gpu.
  2. Also, is the DVD drive a SATA connector or IDE? You may need an adaptor as most 1155 MB's won't have an IDE connection.

Fixed the link, and no, I have an Intel Core i5 650 3.2GHz CPU. So, that's why I need a 1156 Socket Mobo
  5. So those links you mentioned are already bought?

Not yet, I look to purchase them soon though
  7. what is your screen resolution?
what setting do you want to play your games at?
    what is your psu?

to clarify you already own the i5?

    Screen Resolution: 1440 x 900
Settings for Games: Doesn't really matter as long as their isn't much FPS Lag
    PSU: 420w
  9. gpu is the weakest component for you system. However, it should meet your needs.

Do you already own the i5????

IF you don't i suggest you go with an 1155 motherboard and the i5 2300 or 2400 as it is a quad core and goes for the same price of your selected cpu.

Yeah, I do own the i5 Already

EDIT: Mine seems to be a Quad Core anyway, every program I run to benchmark it shows it benchmarking 4 cores, CPUZ states I have 4 cores, and my Intel CPU Usage monitor shows I have 4 cores as well.
  11. What model of CPU did CPU-z say you have?
If it's really that Core i5-650 it has two cores. You might be seeing it reporting 2 physical cores + 2 logical cores since it does Hyperthreading, 2 threads per core.
  12. I see you're changing out your BTX motherboard for a ATX replacement.
(and after giving out 2 BAs to someone who told you it was ATX, too).

You want to confirm what DelroyMonjo mentions. Your DVD drive from the 'old computer'... does it use a wide flat ribbon PATA/IDE cable to the motherboard? Or a narrower cable? That ASRock H55M MB doesn't have the old style PATA/IDE connector.

Yeah, I just decided to get a New Motherboard that is ATX instead, because after looking online, there were little BTX Cases for sale that were in My Budget, and realized I would save money get a new mobo+case. And Yes I have confirmed, it's not the IDE Connector, it's the newer, narrower cable. :D
