Hey Guys,

I just built a new computer yesterday and Im having some problems and Im not sure whats wrong. Im on the new build now so for the most part everything works fine. When the computer goes to sleep is when the problems start. When I put it to sleep i have to restart the computer because it doesnt go back to the windows log in screen. So when I restart it has to go through a ASUS motherboard screen and does some checks. It says that no hard disk is detected then it goes to windows so that makes no sense.

I hope that you guys can help me figure this out because I am lost with what is wrong.

Please list the full system specs of the new computer.

Most problems with sleep mode are because of a bad PSU in my experience.

If you have a generic PSU, it may not be up to the task.

my PSU is a CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W.

all of my other specs are:

CPU Intel Core i5-2500K
RAM G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
GPU EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti
HSF Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache

hope this helps

I really want to like Corsair PSUs, but so many people come in here having problems that seem like PSU problems and they have Corsairs, even the TX V2s which are supposed to be good.

I never see anyone come in here with a power problem that has an XFX PSU.

Anyway, it would be nice if you could try using your PSU in someone else's PC, or someone else's PSU in your PC, or both.

Preferably, the computers would be about equal in specs, but anything is better than nothing.
