Two wireless routers, one network

I am trying to wirelessly connect a netgear wgr614 v6 to be used as an accesspoint and my router connected to the cable modem is a dlink dir825

you will need a 3rd party firmware from DD-WRT; however, currently your Netgear is not supported but your Dlink is.
