First time builder... Help

I am a first time builder and I am looking for advice. My target price is about 2000 CAD. I am looking for a rig that will play any available games on Ultra setting. My primary objective is gaming. This is what I put together after reading forums, Any comments? I appreciate any feedback!

That looks good. However, you don't really need the sound card because the Motherboard has 7.1 sound built-in. What are you looking for in terms of sound quality? I would save the money from the sound card and use it to get a quality speaker system instead.

A good list of parts.

But, if your goal is to play any game at ultra settings, you need to get a stronger graphics card.
Look for a 7970 which is about as good as it gets today, or at least a GTX580.

To save costs:

Ditch the 1866 ram. Sandy bridge is insensitive to ram speeds:

Do you really need a discrete sound card? The cpu savings these days are negligible, and onboard HD sound is very good. Try it first, you can always add a sound card later.

A GTX580 needs only 600w. the 28nm 7970 needs only 500w.
I would not buy coolermaster when top quality psu's cost no more.
Stick with Seasonic, Antec, XFX, PC P&C, or Corsair.
