Q6600 support for 5770

I had this all working before I reformatted, but unfortunately I didn't keep a track of the update I downloaded. I had a Q6600 Pryon PC with a 5770, now I can't remember exactly the numbers but I was told the motherboard supports it but it doesn't come with the support and you needed to update it. Basically the jist was that the motherboard supports v1.1 and v1.2 but to get it to v1.2 you needed an update. Now the 5770 comes in both those versions but I happened to have the v1.2 version, (those arn't the exact model numbers, but hopefully it helps). I was hoping someone knows what I'm talking about and can point me in the right direction for that upgrade again?

I think you may be talking about your motherboard needing a BIOS update in order to use PCI-E 2.1 cards like the HD5770. If so we would need the brand/model of the motherboard to help further.
