APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE : this week, budget $350 max

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT:
-Games (Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Batman arkham city, Trine 2, Assassins Creed revalations) I'm not into RPG
type games(could careless how they run WoW, Skyrim etc cuz i won't be playing them)
-Home Theater use, watching 1080p movies on my 37in TV via hdmi

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: logisys 600w ATX power supply ( will this be enough? only running 1 hd, 1 dvdrw)
gtx 570 or radeon 6970

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: i7-2600k sandy bridge @ 3.4ghz (i may OC it, havent decided) w/ coolmaster Hyper212 cooler. Gigabyte GA-p67a-UD3 motherboard. 12gb 1600 corsair vengeance ram. western digital caviar blue/black or seagate barracuda for the hdd.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: being in NJ would prefer to not use newegg since i'll have to pay tax. i have no problems using ebay for a good deal.

PARTS PREFERENCES: no prefences, just want something reliable & meets my needs

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE:Maybe(would be at a much later time)

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 (I have 2 - 22in monitors & a 37in tv, will only be using 1 monitor while gaming)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Building a new system and its been awhile since i've used to a computer for serious gaming, so i'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options. a form of the gtx 570 or radeon 6970 is what i've been looking at but i'm not sure which because there seems to be many variations of each. gtx480?

I'd say get a 6970 and don't buy the 480, its a power hog and just a hot and horrible card in general.

6970 would play those games better than a 570, except in batman, draws less power so less strain on the psu. Buy one from a reputable brand like Sapphire.

ok i'll definitely be getting a different PSU, probably one of the corsair enthusiast series

any other suggestions for which brand/make of the 6970. i guess the bit of vram will help when running on my tv or dual monitors
