Third monitor

Hello all,

My graphics card supporting 3 monitors display (sapphire hd6750) so I want to add one but as the manufacture site says the third monitor must have a display port interface. I wonder if someone knows if I can connect a hdmi monitor to display port without any losses and how to do that.

You need an 'Active display port/hdmi adapter' A list of approved dongles here >> http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx

If you wish to run eyefinity, you MUST use ACTIVE adapters, NOT passive.

Glad to be of help. I found out the hard way, got a passive adapter then found that passives are only used if you wish to extend your desktop, not create one huge desktop. From what I could find out it has to do with the powered active adapters opening up the extra pipelines that are required to reach the higher resolutions needed in eyefinity (5760x1080)
