System restore not resoring correctly after customizing xp.

You're doing things the hard way. The registry need not be touched.

Create a Program Files folder on F: and direct the installation of all
"Apps" there.

Next: create a Data folder on F: and create subfolders for data saving
and storage. Direct your saves to the folder of choice.

| The reason for moving the "program files" and "documents
| and settings" folder is to make sure that if i ever have
| to format windows, I will not lose any information.

| If i were to make a system restore point right now, and
| restore to it, the issue would still happen.

| 5GB is more than enough space for windows xp. There is no
| reason to change the drive size, as i still have 2.4GB of
| free space left on the drive.

| I already do use norton ghost to back up the operatings
| system. But restoring from a DVD image takes time. System
| restore is much quicker at fixing simple problems as they
| arise.
