My current PSU is showing it's age and I've been looking to upgrade my video card to an x1950 pro/x1950xt (AGP) and maybe add a second HDD to my current rig.

My current set-up:
Gigabyte K8NS pro mobo
A64 3200+ cpu @2.2ghz
1 gig Kingmax ram (2x512)
ATI 256 mb X800XL
Lite-on DVD-Rom
120 GB Seagate barracuda HDD
PSU 500 watt Usicase (18A on +12volt rail) 8O

Will either of these PSU's cut the mustard (so to speak). Antec Truepower 2.0 480watt or Silverstone EF Plus 500watt.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Cheers all.

if after 20-30 mins your system crashed most likely the psu is too small.

as far as video cards skip the 1950xt if you plan on vista - no driver support.

we run the x1950 pro and the x1950xtx crossfire (2 cards) both work good. both my cards are open box from new egg $300 for ati x1950xtx and crossfire - if they fail i send back to ati. no problems!

Both PSUs have more then enough power for your system. This one would be a more afordable option.

All you really need is about 26A on the combined +12v rails for you system with the praposed upgrade. This PSU offers a total of 29A on the +12v rails.

Sorry, I can't use newegg as I live in Australia (curse it all). Would an Antec Truepower2 430 watt PSU be enough? Just want to check as I can get one for about $80 australian. TG's Psu reference list (AUS) says it has 31A on the Dual +12v rails.

Cheers for the help mate!
