Standalone Physx Card

Hi people, is there a stand alone Physx card that I can get that will work in tandem with my current setup? I'm currently running a 6990 and 6970 in tri fire on a P7P55de-Pro.

I know that Physx cards used to be available as standalone cards before Nvidia took them over. I was wondering if there was some sort of solution that I can use to ease physx being processed on my CPU.

It's worth noting that my Motherboard only has two GPU slots.

Without a third PCIe 16 slot, no.

If you had one then you could run any PhysX capable gpu from Nvidia as a dedicated card, for example I run a GT 240. You just have to install the GenL patch.

Technically you could use a regular PCI card like the one listed below, but you might not be able to get "High" Physx. You might have to stick to medium Physx settings.

I've never used the GenL patch, but I am very curious, I've only used the Physx Mod patch 105ff. Thanx for the info Wolf.

That is the GenL patch

GenL is the guy who made it.
