Here is what I'm planning on building. I'm reusing my HDDs, Case, and Power Supply. I'm upgrading from a Phenom x4 9850, 8 Gb of Ram, and a Sapphire 4870 512 MB card.

MoBo: ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB x2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Graphics: SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU cooling: CORSAIR H80 (CWCH80)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

you can save some bucks by going with P8Z68-v PRO.deluxe has more ports.
H80 is good cooler but expensive and not a value for money product.stock fans are crap.swap them out with couple of good high quality fans.cougar and getle typhoons are a good choice.hyper 212 EVO is the best bang for the buck cooler.take a look.
try to get a better card like 6950 or 560ti.

thats 1.65v ram

should be 1.5v for that cpu and motherboard

and over 1600mhz ram isnt really necessary for sandybridge

edit--something like this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and i have the same motherboard and cooler and very happy with them

Thanks for that catch. I just pulled the trigger on the i5. Newegg has a $15 off promo going with free shipping. Code: EMCNHHB25.

I was looking at that board as well. After reading the review of it in the articles section it doesn't really look I would gain much from using the deluxe board. My main reasoning for going with liquid cooling is firstly, I just want liquid cooling because I've never done it before, and to try and save a bit of space.

one advantage of the h80 is you dont need to get low profile ram modules because of clearance

issues

and gentle typoon is a bit innaccurate

bloody loud typhoons would be more like it

at 3000rpm they are probably louder than my whole pc--about 2 minutes 5 seconds on this video

he puts one on full rpm
