Should I upgrade?

Hello,
I don't much about computers, my current PC is for gaming and i want to know if it would be worth upgrading or if i should be saving my money for a new PC,my current PC:

Motherboard: Asus Striker Extreme 680i
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz
PSU: 500w
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 320 MB
RAM: 4GB DDR2
OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64
DirectX 11

If my PC is worth upgrading,what would you reccommend?

I would save for new computer - yours is about 3 years old, and the GPU is about all you could upgrade. A new one will have a much better CPU, use DDR3 RAM, and the motherboard will likely have SATA III, and maybe USB3..

More like 5-6 years old. I built an almost identical PC at the beginning of 2007. The 8800GTS 320 had just been released. The E6600 came out mid-2006.

You will want to do a new build. Maybe keep any SATA hard drives and optical drives and the power supply if it's a good one and maybe the case. Everything else will need to be upgraded.

Tyvm guys.....with Guild Wars 2 coming out this year (hopefully) I am definately looking to get ready for that game mainly,and perhaps Tera. I have a few months yet to save up. Unfortunately the specs for Guild Wars 2 arent available afaik

Would anyone be able to suggest a new build on a budget of $500-$1000
