hi guys i am looking to build my first gaming rig with about 1000$ to spend (preferably a little lower). I look to play world of warcraft, swtor, and tera all on max settings without any problems. I like the intel i5 1500k sandy bridge CPU because its really good for its price (newegg-225$), but im unsure about the other components. I prefer nvidia for the video card but will not hesatate to get an amd one if it comes down to price. thanks to all who reply :)

hi there

i just built a sub-$1000 gaming rig (check it at www.rightrig.tumblr.com ).

i5 2500k should be sufficient. mine also incorporates a geforce gtx 570 so you should be capable of running all current games at ultra graphics quality with at least 40 fps (except metro 2033 and the witcher 2). i would def try to roll an SSD to reduce load times, especially important when you're streaming a lot of content off of your drive.

IF i am missing anything please let me know and tell me how good this is! all this comes to $$1,079.00. i will most likely be buying most of my stuff in computer hardware stores, so take out shipping costs and hopefully cheaper components.

much appreciated,
