Replacing Routers

I am replacing my Linksys Series G Wireless Router with a Netgear N-600 Wireless Dual Band Router. Do I have to uninstall my Linksys G router first and all related software or can I go ahead and install the Netgear and then go back and uninstall the Linksys. Thank you.

What related software?

Just remove your old router, plug in your new router. Power cycle modem/router and log into router for set up.
