Hi :)

HDMI is graphics AND sound.... so it should already be there assuming you are connecting from HDMI out on your computer or laptop and into an HDMI on your TV...

All the best Brett :)

As long as your drivers are up to date what you will need to do is switch the default audio device to your HDMI audio out in windows (Control panel-> Sound -> Playback Devices [Win7/Vista]).

But this also assumes your hardware supports audio out via HDMI. As we don't know what your laptop is or your OS..

Thanks, haveAcer aspire 7735Z-4613 Windows 7 Ultimate. Cannot see anywhere in where HDMI is mentioned in control panel

If a HDMI audio output device is not mentioned in Playback Devices, you probably don't have drivers installed to allow audio output through HDMI, or even maybe an hdmi port that can support audio... it would be difficult for any of us to know without knowing exactly what your hardware is or what software yoyu have installed.

It does support sound through hdmi. You need to go to sound in control panel, there's no such thing as hdmi in control panel. Or an easier way is just right click the speaker icon on the task bar and click playback devices.
