I am still not completely clear on the camera adapter. Will I be able
to take pictures directly onto the iPod (using the iPod in place of a
CF card)? I use a Fuji S2 and having a 60GB 'memory card' would be
very nice. Is this how it works, or do I have to transfer the pictures
to the iPod after I take them?

You cannot take pictures directly onto the iPod.

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301059

The iPod Camera Connector allows you to _import_ photos directly from a
compatible USB digital camera or media reader to your iPod photo (it won't
work with other iPod models). After you've _imported_ your pictures, you can
view them on iPod or transfer them to your computer later for editing,
printing, sharing, or storing. If you want to display the photos on a TV,
then you'll have to transfer them to your computer, and then back to your
iPod.

Oops. My response wasn't correct. I thought he was talking about
transferring to a PowerBook or iBook and then to the iPod. I didn't even
think of the possibiliity of going straight from the camera to the iPod.

If you can transfer photos then I wonder why you can't transfer mp3
songs to the computer.
Maybe there will be a program later to make this possible.

If you just havve a 20GB ipod then you cannot view pictures on that. You simply
treat it as a hard disk. The idea is that you can use just one card of a size
that you think is big enough to last for one session. Then back to the hotel and
connect the Belkin Adapter.
The photos will appear in new folder for that session.

Best of british :-)
