EDIT:
I ended up getting this off eBay because it seemed like a good deal for $835 shipped.

Was it a good decision or could I have built something better with that budget?
Also, will I need anything additional? Like a fan, thermal compound, or something because as I said my apartment can get really hot (like room temp 100F).
[strike]Approximate Purchase Date: This Week
Budget Range: $750 After Rebates
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Anime, Internet
Parts Not Required: Mouse/Keyboard, Monitor, Speakers (Recommendations still wanted though, except for the monitor)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None
Country: USA
Parts Preferences: by brand or type: Core iX (2500k would be great I suppose) and Nvidia (but will settle with Radeon 6870)
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 [/strike]
Additional Comments: My apartment gets really hot in the summertime so I'm kind worried about the PC overheating (my PS3 died like that). The quieter the better.
