I'm looking for a new monitor and I think I'll go for the IPS panels. The usage of this monitor is purely for web design (using Photoshop) only.

Can anyone please suggest the best monitor for this usage? My maximum budget is $300.

The Asus PA238Q looks very good and tempting but I have read many bad reviews about it.

Currently these are my list of choices:

1) Asus PA238Q - how bad really is the bleeding?
2) Dell U2212HM - is this better than the U2312HM? Size doesn't matter.
3) Dell U2312HM
4) Viewsonic VP2365WB - many great reviews (both users and experts) about its' color accuracy
5) LG IPS235V
6) LG IPS236V

Those list fall in the price range of $300 below so it won't matter which of them as long as it performs the best for web designing.

I have dell U2211H and absolutely love it tho I don't have anything to verify/calibrate the colors. The U2312HM is even better - it has led back-lit screen and ambient light sensor. I am considering upgrading mine because of the ambient light sensor alone, I always forget to tune down the brightness in the evening and I notice it only when my eyes already hurt.
