Which GPU should I get to run SWTOR on high-ultra setting?
Dec 29, 2011, 6:31 PM
I have a two year old HP Pavilion m9400F.
It has a AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Core 2.4 Ghz and 8 gigs of DDR2 RAM.
My question is this, will either the CPU or the RAM hold a good card back?
And if they would not bottleneck the card, would a card like the XFX Radeon 6750 allow me to run the game at high specs? Or would I have to go a little higher with a 6850 or so?
Thanks for your time.

Hey there, this is DoggerDW again.
I had one more question. If the RAM is DDR2 does that hold the card back it the card has DDR5 memory? Thanks again.

Hi, DoggerDW, DDR2 dose not hold your DDR5 gpu memory. If you want to buy a 6850 just go for it. Your cpu will not hold that back you think. It should do fine.

ultra high textures are broken in SWTOR, so even if you have the best card it will render Meduim textures. Its a known issue. Still an amazing game thou.
