Hello everyone, Say how you helped jrobe90 with his upgrading issues, and wondered if you all could do the same for me?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D
Operating System: Windows Vista 32 Bit
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 2.00GHZ
RAM: 3.00 GB
Graphics Card: ATI Raedon 3100

The game runs ok when im in an open area, but when I go underground or inside a building, it lags way to much to play. I did everything I could to boost playing performance, but it isnt enough, so I think I may have to upgrade my hardware...

The only thing that might help that you can upgrade in that laptop is more RAM. You could have 4gb but I'm just not sure that would make a lot of difference. You're dealing with a game that wants a strong GPU and the radeon 3100 isn't it.

For $615 or $679 you can buy a Lenovo Y470 with either a Core i3-2330 or Core i5-2430m CPU with an nVidia GT 550m. The CPU and GPU processing power will be more powerful than any Llano based laptop in the $600 - $700 price range.

For $639 or $695 you can buy a 15.6" Lenovo Y570 with the same respective CPUs in the Y470 mentioned above and an nVidia GT 555m dedicated video card. It is actually an overclocked GT 550m used in the Y470. Again, it will outperform any Llano based laptop in the $600 - $700 range (at least based on my quick search on Newegg and Amazon).

The Y570 has better cooling.

isn't an A8 with dual graphics better than a 550m? I think you can get one for the same price, no idea.

0_o I don't know if Lenovo laptops are that cheap... Get it OP if you can and A8 Dual graphics are pretty rare I can say. Usually they don't put another graphic card after putting integrated graphic card that comes from the A8-3500M.

Nope, not in the same price range. From what I've seen up to $700 you can only get a Llano A8 laptop with the Radeon HD 6620G.

Yep. I bought a Lenovo Y470 with the i5-2430m over the summer for more or less around the current price. The most demanding I tested it with was Crysis; with medium quality settings I can get 35FPS - 44FPS most of the time. It dipped as low 28FPS and peaked as high as 52FPS, but only for a fraction of a second. I got GTA 4, but I was too lazy to install when I was writing up my review of the laptop's performance. The only bad thing is that the CPU gets really hot, like 92C. Since the i5 has Turbo Boost, I turn it off when I play games so that the CPU stays at 2.4GHz. I am a bit disappointed this has to be done. There were no reviews for the Y470 so I had no idea the CPU cooling is rather poor. The nVidia GT 550M is at a more reasonable 61C when playing games. I bought this 14" laptop because a 15.6" was a little too big and not as portable for my needs.

The cooling is better in the Y570, based on reviews the maximum CPU temps are around 60C - 65C for the CPU.

I found HP laptop http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can... which can be costumized.

The only problem I have with HP is recently they had some class action lawsuits about laptop failures (several models). Those lawsuits do not include these newer Llano laptops, but to me it indicates a lack of good design decisions that may or may not have also trickled down to their newer laptops.

hmm... I don't know that, I haven't bought any HP laptop yet and they seem on a good price there.
