Hi, i am building a new computer this spring, as my laptop has finally given up and died. I hope to get an i5 2500k but at the moment when funds are extremely tight, and i need a computer fast, i am going to buy the g530 for £30, until i can afford the i5. The ram i was going to get is Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Memory Module CL9 1.5V.

What i want to know, is will my motherboard(Asus P8Z68-V LX) automatically downclock the ram so it will work with the g530? or do i have to get 1066 ram for it to work?

Your mobo will downclock the RAM.

yes it will but imo it's better to wait, or go borrow some money or do some lawn cleaning or something to get some extra cash, well at least for me if i build a computer and want another system i build a new one again keeping the old one and well that's just me, i don't like selling stuff i built(used pc) just to get a few bucks for a new build, well it's me so it's up to you, it's better to go straight i5
