I'm planning to buy that processor next month. Is it good? Can it handle games and high graphic card like gtx 680? by the way I'm just using one graphic card. I'm not yet going to set up crossfire or sli gpu's yet.

A 2500K/3570K will be just fine for that. You won't need an i7 for gaming for a LONG time (well past the point when it's time for another upgrade).

Agreed. The i7 is very nice, but just not necessary.

Yeah, I would just go with an i5 2500K. Save 100 dollars.

Games don't use Hyper Threading so there's no real point in getting a Core i7-2600k if this is purely a gaming rig.

You should get either a Core i5-2500k or i5-3570k. The newer i5-3570k consumes less power, and is about 5% faster than the i5-2500k (assuming same clock speed), but the OC potential is less because of the high temps.

There is no point in getting an I7. You're paying an extra 100 dollars for hyperthreading and extra cache; two things that games don't even make use. The I5 2500k is fine for gaming and you can take that extra 100 dollars by not getting the I7 and put it towards a graphics card.
