My OS is windows 7 ultimate, I have high speed internet with charter and planning on getting rid of my cable modem Ambit U10C018.80 that I rent from them. I just bought a brand new in the box NetGear Model N150 WNR1000-100NAS and need to buy a cable modem.
Do I need to stick with netgear for the cable modem? And should I buy one that is DOCSIS 2.0 or DOCSIS 3.0 and should it be WiFi types supported, 802.11b (11 Mbps), 802.11g (54 Mbps), 802.11n (draft)?
