Problem with cpu switch

Hello,iam praveen. i had a problem with mine cpu switch. when i press mine cpu switch the cpu doesn't start but the power supply is going to the cpu.Then i stoppd the main power supply and again on it then the cpu switch automatically on, but again the same problem the system doesn't start.i repeated this process with off and on the main supply then once the system will on. what should i do now. can anyone plz reply.

Its NEVER the switch...its probably the PSU failed....

I'm having a hard time to understand your problem but here's what I took from what you said: After pressing the power switch the PSU turns on and power is being supplied to the motherboard but somehow the CPU doesn't turn on nor the rest of the computer.

If that's your problem then have you checked all your connections and made sure the CPU cable and main ATX cable are connected? What's your system specs by the way?
