Nvidia or AMD Radeon?

What should I buy? Nvidia 260 or AMD Radeon 6770? I run games like GTA 4 starCraft 2 and All source games, like HL2 and L4D2 PORTAL 2. But most of games I play is Dota, I would like to max dota in 1440x900. ))

I have 500W what is the best BANG FOR MY Intel E2200 2.20GHz (HP version Impossible to overclock!)

260s are old and outdated.

6770's are excellent cards all round.

Unfortunatly your E2200 is going to hold you back on GTA4 and SCII - they are both CPU bound. The performance will be terrible either way

So you are saying I cannot run HL2 in 100+ FPS?? Also Left4dEad 2?

HL2 and L4D2 will run fine with a 6770 though.

ohh, that was a good one two hear, well I play warCraft III Source games, I only play SC2 for past time, because Artanis is cool there. Will I hit 100FPS + in Source Games? Thanks.

I have an hd 5770, which is basically the same thing as the 6770. I get 100 fps in cs 1.6. In L4D2 it is like 60-70, I want to say(i cant remember the number now since its been awhile). Don't get too caught up in 100+ fps. It is not all about 100+ fps. You only need 60 fps, anything above, your eyes and brain will not be able to tell the true difference. The hd 6770 is the better solution, especially compared to the 260.

Oh I play 1680x1050 on all my games and normally somewhere between a med and high. I havent played wc3, gta4, dota, and sc2, just portal2, l4d2, and hl2 from your list of games, but I think you will be quite happy with the 6770. It should be a nice upgrade for your system. You really need a better CPU, or a higher PSU to fit a more powerful GPU in your pc.

Source games should run 100fps, if they don't its your CPU and not the card. (Alternativley you could quit CS: Source and play 1.6 @ 800x600 with 100hz @ 100fps like a pro )

I have a Good Nvidia 580 last year, but Sad thing is, it gets underwater because of the hurricane and mud, I can't do anything! and a Core i7 that computer was build not for me, but for my friend, but then he go to another country and give me the computer ! ) I can play and Run GTA 4 at all max with a good FPS, I'm just a simple person, not poor, not rich, just mid range, I wan't mid range card dot can ran HL2 at a Good FPS and get out of this Integrated Graphics card that run the game at 10FPS maximum is 25, Intel G31/G33 <<<-- SUCK!. If I buy 6770 is there any improvement in my System ? Because of the bottleneck ? may not improve the damn thing.

lol, so your saying the performance will be terrible all the time? Even playing WarCraft III Frozen Throne in DOTA? ZZZ
