Is this any good for a gaming pc, for OCing a bit as well.

CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX - 4100 (3.6ghz quad core (OC'd to 4.5ghz)
MoBo: Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 (AM3+ DDR3)
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz RAM
PSU: 750w Corsair Gaming series psu
GPU: XFX HD6870 (900mhz core clock OC'd to 940)
HDD: 7400 rpm western digital black 500gb sata 3

no, unless you're going to be doing video editing
change cpu to an i3 2120 and get an h61/h67 board, and change the ram to 8gb
750w is overkill unless you plan to crossfire in the future, but it's a good brand

It will game just fine, but as morgoth780 is getting at... An i3 build will game the same or, in some cases, better. The 4100 has advantages if using multithreaded apps (video editing, rendering, etc).

I assume that since you are listing overclocking info that you already own this rig. If so, leave it be until you decide to drop another HD 6870 in there. In all reality you should be waiting for a future release of an AM3+ CPU which sports better performance. If you were to drop a second HD 6870 in there your current CPU would become a bottleneck.

Once the OP cuts back on those, he might be able to afford a better GPU, which is more important than a good CPU.
