Right now heres my specs

two Radeon 5770's crossfired
Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.68ghz
4gb ddr2 @800mhz
Antec earthwatts 650w PSU
Windows 7 64bit
Emerson 40" tv

Im running at 1920x1080

Right now i can max out most games, but im looking for better performance in Crysis 2 and Starcraft 2. (Metro 2033 as well i suppose)

i plan to sell my 5770's and i was thinking of something around 300$. However will my other specs bottleneck that?

I could push the Cpu to 3.84ghz with a little extra cooling.

Maybe a radeon 6970 (270$) or two 6850's?

hd5770 in CF ~= HD6850

for a worthwhile upgrade, i would say to get atleast a 6790/gtx570.

alternately, you can wait for the 7xxx series to come on 9th january.

im thinking i might wait till the 7xxx series hits. Any idea on what card would be in the 300$ range? i see the 7970 is around 620$. So my guess is it would be the 7950 or 7870.

There is a high chance that it will be 7870. Check out at wikipedia.

although i cant see the 7870 beating out alot of the crossfire configurations iv found. For instance two 6870's i just found on ebay, crossfired would cost me a total of 310$

or i could buy a couple 5870's for 335$.
