Help With My New PC Build

Hi all :)
okay, so i decided to get a new PC upgrade and i have not much idea of what parts to get... Any suggestions?

Approximate Purchase Date: Around June 2012 (Some time in summer)

Budget Range: no set budget, but around £1000

System Usage: gaming

Parts Not Required: HDD, keyboard

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any, don't mind

Country: UK (England)

Parts Preferences: intel cpu & ssd, gskill ram,

Overclocking: yes

SLI or Crossfire: maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200

Additional Comments: i want it to look nice, will be getting cold cathodes (colour advise would be nice!)
need a monitor with 2 HDMI ports (will be connecting xbox & pc to same monitor)

so far i have these parts: CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz
MOBO: AsRock FATAL1TY Z68 Professional Gen.3 (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
RAM: gskill ripjaws 8GB (2X4GB) (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
SSD: Intel 520 Series 60GB 2.5" SATA-3 (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
BD Drive: Samsung-SH-B123L-BSBP-Blu-ray (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
PSU: XFX ProSeries 850W (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6870
CASE: CIT mars-midi-tower-case-with-fans & display (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)
MOUSE: razer deathadder (DONT WANT TO CHANGE)

so basically im asking for advise on a CPU & a GPU.... any advise would be awesome :D

I had a look at the GPU and the monitor. I really like the monitor, but what do you think of the samsung syncmaster? i heard they were really good so im not sure what to use... Also with the GPU, is it the Sapphire HD 6950 "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card? (i just copied the title from OC uk) it looks awesome, so i will definately use it :) thanks
