Connect PSP to Wireless Router

Why is it that when I try to connect my PSP(3001) to my Netgear N-150 Wireless Router, a message appears on my PSP screen telling me that "a connection to the access point could not be established" and that I should "check the security settings for the network and try again"?

What type of sercurity are you using on the router? Last time I connected a PSP, it would only work with WEP.

I'm having the same issues and I don't have any security enabled. I used to be able to connect till I had updated the Firmware. I'm at a complete loss as what to do.
