Bought new videocard I get Error code 43 Doa?

Does that mean my video card is dead on arrival? I tried the most recent drivers on Nvida website. The drivers seem to installed fine. But device manager gives me code 43. And says no resources are being used due to problems being reported or something. The video card is a Gt440.

did you uninstall the old drivers for your old video card first,if you didnt ,uninstall the old drivers and then run driver sweeper and reinstall the new drivers

All i had was onboard video. though it was nvida. Give me a complete set of instructions and I will give it a try. Is driver sweeper free?

yes its free...........also make sure that you have gone into the bios and deactivated the on board video,if you havent done this,do this first then reboot.....

I tried what you said. It worked. However When I tried to reinstall physx keeps failing to install now for some odd reason not sure if its important. But the card is usable now. Thanks for the help.

Your welcome.......as for the physx,you may already have that version installed,you can check in control panel,then programs and features to see if you have it installed
